Smart Energy Meters
Our energy meters are advanced ultrasonic heating and cooling meters designed for precise, reliable and long-term energy consumption measurement. Suitable for residential buildings, commercial premises, enterprises, and district heating or cooling systems, these meters combine durability, flexibility, and cutting-edge technology to ensure accurate billing and efficient energy management.
What is Axioma Smart Energy Meter
Axioma Metering’s energy meters measure the amount of thermal or cooling energy consumed where water is the heat carrier. Using ultrasonic flow measurement they track the flow of water without any moving parts – eliminating mechanical wear, improving reliability and maintaining accuracy over time.
Smart Energy Meters – Qalcosonic E3 & E4 Models
We offer two Qalcosonic energy meter models, both built on the same advanced ultrasonic measurement technology and high-performance features. The main differences come down to size range and housing material, giving you flexibility to match the right meter to your application.
Qalcosonic E3:
Built with a durable brass housing, the E3 is available in sizes DN 15 to DN 100. Its robust design makes it an excellent choice for demanding and large-scale applications such as district heating and cooling networks, industrial facilities and multi-unit residential complexes.
Qalcosonic E4:
Featuring a lightweight yet strong composite housing, the E4 is available in sizes DN 15 to DN 40. It is ideally suited for smaller to mid-size installations, including individual apartments, small commercial properties and localized heating and cooling systems.

Frequently asked questions
Axioma Energy Meters E3 and E4 use the same ultrasonic technology and provide equally reliable performance. The main difference lies in size and material options. Your choice should depend on the specific size requirements of your property or project and material (brass or composite).
An energy meter accurately measures heating and cooling energy usage. This data allows property managers to bill residents based on actual consumption, identify inefficiencies in the system, and encourage reduced overall energy use.
The Axioma W1 is an easy-to-install meter. It can be fitted horizontally or vertically, and its minimally invasive technology minimizes pressure loss. The Axioma has a compact, space-saving design available in three standard sizes for U.S. market: ¾” x 7½”, 1” x 10¾”, and 1½” x 12⅝”.
